We had not thoroughly investigated Ohio in the established canon in depth, stated the development lead. From our current map, if you travel east, you begin entering the Washington DC area. We've explored well established. The Ohio territory was developed extensively. Accordingly, this installment being set earliest in the timeline offers us numerous storytelling options. Finding Influence from Fan Favorites

The method came through organic development when the developers identified the perfect connection with The Ghoul, who becomes a quest giving character within the fresh content.

We were establishing what this fresh territory would feature, what the general atmosphere would be, and then what the primary feature of the expansion area would develop into, that's contract missions, explained the development lead. So who ideal for presenting bounty hunting than The Ghoul? Since he is a knowledgeable admirer of the games too, he was very eager to partner with us and achieve this integration. Therefore it wasn't planned from the beginning, but it developed through logical evolution of the gameplay.

Coming Updates

This expansion isn't the final expansion for the multiplayer experience. The studio is actively creating on the premier 2026 update and preparing additional content reaching as far as the seventy-second addition.
