The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Warriors Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces increasing in strength within the city.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the initial group of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then settled his obligations and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the region and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could enable the group reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This means them few options but to head to the remote area in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the combat party won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Fans can look forward to finding out which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, streaming live on next week.
